During enough time of Samuel, why did the people of Israel desire a king? So why was Saul chosen, and, ultimately, for what reason was this individual rejected? What attribute did David display that made him a much better king than Saul? What sin do Solomon make that finally led to the division of Israel after his death?

The elders in the tribes arrive to Samuel and expected a california king. They say that Samuel is too old wonderful sons will be corrupt. They desired a king to " business lead them” and lead them and to go out before them also to fight their battles. There were certain issues that they did not want to do for themselves, so they desired a king to accomplish them. " The kingdom began in First Samuel and consolidated in Second Samuel. First Kings records their division and decline, and Second Kings its devastation and deterioration” (Hindson, 2012. p. 178). Samuel was obviously a prophet and Israel's spiritual leader but not a california king. Israel was loosely dominated by idol judges but acquired no one outfitted to regulation in a time of war.

King Saul was decided to demonstrate The lord's power through his modification. In Saul's case it is not how you begin but how you finish. Saul was actually secretly anointed the first ruler of all of the people in His home country of israel being having been chosen by the public inhabitants. Saul started off with a refreshing start because king; he came from a well-to-do family members, was taller, dark, attractive, and it was told there were no guy taller than he. But , his peaceful start did not last long. During his reign he had a stand-off while using Philistines in the valley of Elah, illegal sacrificial supplying, failed to eliminate all of the Amalekites and their animals as instructed by Our god, and lied to Our god as well. The break among Saul and God might just be one of the saddest occurrences in Scripture. Saul's final act of disobedience included him falling to his sword, and choosing his personal life.
