How ideas of expansion and frames to support expansion influence current practice
Ideas of advancement and frameworks to support development are incredibly essential to us working with children and young people. They will help us to understand kids, how they react to things/situations, their particular behaviour and the ways they will learn. Different theories and ways of dealing with children have come together to supply frameworks to get children's treatment, such as Early year's basis stage (EYFS) which is used within all day care settings. This kind of encourages us to work together, help and check the development of babies, children and young people, to keep these people healthy very safe. It promotes teaching and learning to make sure a child is ready for college etc . A few of the theorists and their theories that contain a huge impact in current practice (where elements are also included and used inside the EYFS) are: Ivan Pavlov - behaviourist
Pavlov supported вЂconditioning' his research began with dogs who salivated when all their food was put down for them. He known that whilst ringing a bell if the dogs' meals was pay resulted ultimately in the dogs still salivating at the sound of the bell ringing regardless if no food was place appeared. This is due to he had trained them to accomplish that. Gradually after a while of just the bells ringing the dogs' conditioned response to salivate weakened till they finally did not behave вЂ“ called вЂextinction'. This can be a useful theory to help us understand the reasoning/behaviour of a child for example , creating a phobia of going to the bathroom in a new/strange place. Seeing that he/she has become conditioned to never like the new/strange place and might refuse to go into. This is where the conditioning is definitely linked to a great irrational dread and it is best to try to get him/her not to link the two and вЂun-condition' them.
