Simple History

The company began in 1940, having a restaurant opened by friends Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, Cal. Their advantages of the " Speedee Support System" in 1948 set up the principles in the modern fast-food restaurant. In 1954, Ray Kroc, a seller of Multimixer milkshake machines, found that brothers Rich and Maurice (Dick and Mac) McDonald were applying eight of his high-tech Multimixers in their San Bernardino, California, restaurant.
