That controls someone’s entire body function and moves whether it be going for walks, talking, or maybe going to the bathroom. What most people do not know is that there are five major structures of the mind. The to begin the five is the myelencephalon ( the Medulla). The Myelencephalon (or medulla) is the posterior part of the brain come. Not surprisingly then, the medulla is composed generally of tracts carrying signs between the remaining portion of the brain and the body. A fascinating part of the myelencephalon from a psychological perspective is the reticular formation. It is a complex network of about 75 tiny nuclei that occupies the central core in the brain stem from your posterior border of the myelencephalon to the informe boundary from the midbrain. It is so named because of its netlike appearance (reticulum means " small net" ). Sometimes the reticular creation is referred to as the reticular initiating system since parts of this seem to may play a role in excitement levels.
