 Essay upon Research

Abstract

This paper seeks to do a comparative analysis of two research patterns and to determine the most appropriate (or preferable) model/approach/method. Research strategies are " techniques that researchers use for structure a study and to collect and examine information highly relevant to the research question” Polit and Beck (2012). Primary info collection can often be equated with quantitative and qualitative study methods. " Quantitative exploration tends to rely on deductive reasoning for hypothesis testing” whilst " Qualitative research frequently relies on initiatory reasoning to create hypotheses and theories” Leacock, Warrican & Rose (2009). Keywords: Analysis design, principal data, quantitative research, qualitative research.

Introduction to Research Methods

Research methods are " techniques that researchers use for structure a study and to accumulate and assess information highly relevant to the research question” Polit and Beck (2012). Research info comes from two core types of collection methodologies: 1 ) Secondary sources

2 . Major research actions

Secondary info is accumulated from methods that have long been published one example is books, publications, journals, periodicals, the internet etc. Primary data collection is often equated with quantitative and qualitative research methods. Sociable surveys and experiments are frequently viewed as prime examples of quantitative research and therefore are evaluated resistant to the strengths and weaknesses of statistical, quantitative research strategies and analysis. Case studies, on the other hand, in many cases are seen as excellent examples of qualitative research which in turn adopts a great interpretive approach to data, research `things' in their context and considers the subjective symbolism that people provide their circumstance. Overview of Quantitative Research

This scientific technique is said to be traditional and is tightly allied to positivism. Here information is definitely collected in a systematic approach that is, orderly...
