Introduction

Sweden, similarly to the other Scandinavian countries, stands as one of the the majority of egalitarian and democratic countries in the world regarding social equality, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit (2007), and devotes more than 30 percent of its GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT on interpersonal expenditure. This kind of clearly provides a positive impact for the integration of disadvantaged people from ethnical minorities. When it comes to integration procedures themselves, the nation has been trading considerable cash since late 1960s and set their three the usage goals (equality, freedom of preference and partnership) just a few years later. It then more and more exposed the well being system to newly came immigrants make forth various other important principles for the usage: recognition of individual selection, equal options and mutual tolerance. However , in the same period once integration policies were born, statistical research proves that immigrant workers started facing several obstructions in the job market. The unemployment rate to get immigrants because the 1970s began to suffer from a niche with respect to the one among native Swedes and overseas citizens doing work in Sweden, and also naturalized Swedes, encountered problems also in terms of promotion opportunities and income. This situation evolved in the same direction until nowadays and opens a number of questions. This research efforts to investigate within the Swedish social background on the basis of the welfare system and eventually attached to ethnical splendour at work. Subsequently, it shows the elements that experts attribute for the job road blocks that migrants have been facing over the last several decades. A few studies show ethnic elegance has played out a large function in this trend, mostly leading to unemployment but also stopping foreign employees from obtaining promotion and training and also an adequate income. This finally suggests to reconsider the cultural structure examined before and quickly examine the public and private actors which may have fostering such discriminatory thinking.

In the event in the late nineteenth century immigration used to be faced simply by Swedes typically as in the other Europe, from a great imperialistic and conservative perspective, the next hundred years inaugurated in Scandinavia a brand new cultural and political program encouraging patience and respect for the Other, evidently with some implications for the attitudes toward foreigners as well as the integration policies. This period indeed corresponds to the final of the Swedish political prominence over Scandinavia, with the acquisition of independence simply by Norway in 1905, also to the early business of a wellbeing system together with with an industrialization approach. Such personal changes were accompanied by the birth of the modern Scandinavian ideals, all over the Nordic countries, official by Skulder Sandemose in his 1933 newsletter A renardiere crosses his tracks. He explains Jantelagen (in British called " Jante Law”), an unsaid social code, and outlines its ten essential rules with an imperative style. 1 . Do not think you are anything unique.

2 . Usually do not think you are as good as us.

several. Do not think you are smarter than us.
