KES Kes is a story of knowledge, of love and not about a youngster and his hawk, It displays the life of any boy via a poor relatives, and his find it difficult to get through his teenage years, a story of any boys existence which was planned before he was even born.  It all starts with boys named Billy Casper, Billy is the central character in the play plus some may admit he is no angel nevertheless is this individual really a bad guy? He may possess nearly knocked Mr Porter of his ladder and he hits Jud when he's consumed but every one of his wrongdoings are never unprovoked, like when ever Jud steals Billy's food and forces him view whenever your dog is in a hurry.  Billy is bullied in school because of his size, as he is smaller than all the other children, he's mistreated simply by his mom by his fellow peers and by his teachers, however, not all his teachers, Mister Farthing is probably the only person that Billy societe to be about Kes since, he recognizes, he understands that Billy isn't the sharpest tool inside the box and that his parrot is the just thing that set's him apart from all of those other children in his school. Wherever many could have just given up trying to acquire the chicken, Billy offers exceeded he can now assured enough to offer a talk in front of the whole class mainly because in his head he is a very important factor that all the other boys usually are, he is one of a kind. � The story is set within a run down Yorkshire mining city where the ideal job you can get is winding up down dingy old, darker shaft exploration.  Billy's family is broken. Billy isn't a star pupil but this individual tries, his mind often seems to be elsewhere and as a result of his low grades he's bullied even more.  The adults in Billy's life handle him because an incomer, as if he was the omkring of the litter, for instance there is certainly his mother who is an extremely interesting person to have in a book. Shut up prior to you drive me crackers”.  Mr Sugden is among the a poor teacher, not focused on the welfare of the pupils, just about receiving his personal way.  Jud is a bad guy, he bullies Billy and Mrs Casper. Every time we come across him he's causing difficulties: killing Kes, stealing Billy's bike ect. He would not have a great deal of life, this individual bitterly hates working in the pit, nevertheless does this justification his negative behaviour?  Billy is a patient of conditions beyond his control.
